BRADFORD, PA — Led by Haley Keane, the Bradford girl’s basketball team rallied late to outlast Brockway, picking up a second straight win as they improved to 5-7.
Through the first two quarters, the Lady Owls continued to stay in stride with the Lady Rovers. Despite always finding themselves behind, Bradford managed to keep it close, staying within a two-possession game through 16 minutes of play. In the third, however, Bradford found their window to leap ahead.
Led by Keane, who scored nine of their 17 third-quarter points, the Lady Owls narrowly outscored Brockway for the first time all night, putting themselves ahead by just a single point with one quarter to go. After a period of superb offense, Bradford doubled-down in the fourth with equally efficient defense. Holding the Lady Rovers to just four points, Bradford sealed their comeback win in front of their home fans.
Keane ended with a game-high 27 points, followed by Alexis Kicior with eight and Maranda Davis and Cami Sheeley, who scored six points each.

Portville 53, Randolph 47 OT
PORTVILLE, NY — Fighting tooth and nail in a highly-contested CCAA Div. III matchup, the Portville girls basketball team took down Randolph in overtime.
Four frames of action were not quite enough to separate the Panthers and the Cardinals and all would end up being decided by which team could hold their nerve and find the crucial baskets down the stretch. That team wound up being the hosts, who were spurred on by a 18-point performance from Addison Isaman.
Supporting Isaman, Emma Rhinehart scored 11 points and Ali Haynes recorded seven points and reeled in 12 rebounds.
“Tonight was exciting, not just because we won, but because the atmosphere of the game was fun,” Portville head coach Inga Welty said. “Each team was battling the entire game. We would get some separation and they would come back and tie it or go up by a bucket. … The girls showed better composure in overtime and that made the difference. Our energy and confidence levels were where they need to be every night. To say I am proud is an understatement. … I just love these girls for their work ethic and for gritting out a big league win for us.”
