Mansfield – Deborah L. Nye, 73, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 at her home. She was born on February 24, 1952 in Niagara Falls, NY, daughter of the late Robert and Josephine Watson. She was a graduate of West Seneca West, class of 1970. In May of 1975, she married Lawrence Nye, who survives.

For years Mrs. Nye ran the daycare at Holimont Ski Resort in Ellicottville. She always enjoyed clogging and had also instructed clogging for years. 

Besides her loving husband of 50 years, Mrs. Nye is survived by a daughter, Jodie (Jason) Green of Cattaraugus, and two sisters; Sandy Pasinski of Cheektowaga, and Kelli (Rick) Kempf of Lakeview, as well as two grandchildren; Cheyenne and Shawnee Szyper, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Deborah is predeceased by a brother, Michael Watson and a sister, Tammy Wilson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley.
