MIDDLEPORT, NY — The Allegany-Limestone boys basketball team suffered a lopsided defeat on the road at Roy-hart to start its season.

The Gators, led by a 13-point performance from Greg Peck, fell 70-49 to the Rams. Nolan O’Brien netted 12 points in the loss for A-L as well.

Matt Aquilina led Roy-Hart with a game-high 27 points.

PORTVILLE, NY — The Portville boys basketball team suffered a heavy defeat in its season opener to Cuba-Rushford.

A consistent offensive performance from the Rebels saw them surge past the host Panthers.

PORTVILLE, NY — Behind a 17-point game from Emma Rhinehart, the Portville girls basketball team scored a big win to open its season.

Freshman duo of Quinn Scott and Emily Scanlon added 10 and nine points, respectively to the win.
