Edward McClure

September 8, 1960 – October 21, 2025

Edward McClure, 65, of Springville, NY, died Tuesday evening, October 21, 2025 at home following a short illness.

Born September 8, 1960 in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late Richard and Betty Hardy McClure.

He was a graduate of Ellicottville High School, Class of 1979.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Denver, CO and Plattsburg, NY.

Edward had been employed as a salesman with Emerling Ford in Springville for over 20 years. He was a member of the Ellicottville American Legion Post 659.

He liked all things sports, especially the NY Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and could always be found listening to his music. But above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

Surviving are: three daughters, Janette McClure, Salamanca, NY, Megan (Brittney Jimerson) McClure, Bradford, PA, Colleen (Carissa) McLauria, Holbrook, NY; a sister, Debora Seitz, Salamanca, NY; four brothers, Greg (Karen) McClure, Hamburg, NY, Leon (Paula) McClure, Donald (Joy) McClure, Dale McClure, all of Salamanca, NY; his former wife, Pam McClure, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4 – 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 12 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Holland, pastor of Bemus Point Methodist Church, officiating.

Full military honors will be conducted by members of the Ellicottville American Legion Post 659.
