SUGARCREEK, PA – Returning to action in one of the toughest courses on their schedule, the Bradford boy’s cross country team were led by their star juniors Evan Troisi and Kadyn Tessena, who walked away from the day with medals hanging from their necks

Facing a field of competition of 124 runners from over 20 schools, Troisi and Tessena placed 21st and 23rd overall with times of 18:41 and 18:47, respectively.  Sophomores Jordan Hogue (19:26) and Nikolai Frontino (19:45) took 43rd and 45th, while Tony McDonald (20:21) took 57th overall.

Cavan Drake (20:28) finished 60th, Langdon Krepp (21:07, a personal best) finished 70th, Miles Hawk (22:01) finished 89th and Owen Tingley (24:54) crossed the finish line in 114th.

In all Bradford placed seventh overall with 186 points.

Next, the Owls will travel to Ridgway on Thursday for the District 9 League Meet, held on the District Championship course.

“With Brookville being a runaway favorite to take home the team title at Districts, our only option to qualify for the PA State Meet is to be in the top five,” said Bradford head coach Tom Tessena. “The league meet will give us another chance to see where we stand. This season seemed to go way too fast and there is little time left to improve.”
