BELMONT, NY — Despite posting an incomplete finish as a team, Allegany-Limestone’s Nolan Wilczewski grabbed a first-place finish for the boys cross country team at the Allegany County Invitational.
Aiden Grimes (41st, 22:45.8), Ronin Haseley (48th, 23:59.3) and John Thomas (49th, 24:22.8) rounded out the next three finishers for the Gators.
The Olean boys cross country team placed fourth as a team with a total of 86 points. Cruz Clark’s ninth-place finish (18:50.7) led the team while Declan Boutillette (14th, 19:30.1), Daks Perry (18th, 20:05.6) and Colin Simons (20th, 20:23.4) were the next three Huskies across the line.

On the girls side, the Allegany-Limestone girls cross country team, paced by a second-place finish from Abby Higgins (21:10.1), finished third overall.
Lila Sheehy (10th, 22:09.9), Aralyn Jennings (14th, 23:46.6) and Autumn Odom (22nd, 26:00.2) were the next three finishers for the Gators.
The Olean girls team finished second overall with 32 points. May Eaton (21:13.8) and Kinley Belleisle (21:13.8) finished third and fourth overall, respectively, for the Huskies. Rachael Dulmus (5th, 22:02.9) and Lily Eaton (10th, 25:43.9) were the next two over the line for Olean.

Fordham 4, St. Bonaventure 1
BRONX, NY — While the St. Bonaventure women’s soccer team had the more fortunate start to its match against Fordham, scoring the game’s opening goal, four consecutive goals from the latter saw the Bonnies chalk up another A10 defeat.
The Rams inundated the Bona defensive line early, rifling off nine shots inside the first half hour. In fact, Fordham dominated the shots category for the contest, out-shooting Bona 33-4. However, Daniela Bruna Ribeiro de Souza, on an assist from Ekemini Udofa, showed that quantity does not always mean quality as she rippled the back of the Rams net in the 30th minute.
Unfortunately for the visitors, the quantity of Fordham chances wound up catching up to them.
The Rams scored four consecutive goals, all netted by different players in the 25 minutes of game time that followed, allowing them to coast over the finish line with a win in tow.
Juliana Castellano and Adelaide Paredes split the game in goal and tallied eight and seven saves, respectively, in the contest.
