DUBOIS, PA – Able to match DuBois’s intensity for the majority of the afternoon, the Bradford boy’s soccer team suffered their ninth loss of the season via heartbreak, losing 4-2 as the Beavers punched in two goals in the final minutes.

Scorers for the Owls were Owen Tosi and Landon Lohrman. Carson Miller finished with one assist while Aiden Abbot recorded seven saves while in goal.

With only four games left in their season, the Owls will check two off this coming week. First, on Monday, they remain on the road to see Meadville before returning home on Wednesday to host Erie.

Southwestern 4, Olean 0

JAMESTOWN, NY – Dropping their third consecutive CCAA Division I game, the Huskies picked up their 10th loss and fifth shutout of the season.

Next, Olean (1-10 overall, 6-0 in Div. I) will have a change at redemption, however, as they will see the Trojans (3-8-1 and 2-4) again on Tuesday at home at 6 p.m. Beyond that, they will take to the road for three of their last four games, seeing Jamestown, Holland, Fredonia and Dunkirk to wrap up their regular season.

Girls Soccer

DuBois 5, Bradford 0

BRADFORD, PA – Playing the team to beat in what could be a glimpse of the District 9 Class 4A Championship, the Lady Owls were unable to get a handle on the Lady Beavers, losing via shutout.

In goal, Madi Stark ended with 18 saves. Bradford next plays on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. when they travel to Franklin.

Girls Tennis

Olean 5, Cassadaga Valley

OLEAN, NY – Ending their season on a high note, the Huskies swept Cassadaga Valley.

Opening the day in the first and second singles, Rachael Dulmus and Serenity Durphy both picked up big wins. In the doubles, the duo of Braelyn Eaton and Simiran Chahal narrowly took a win in a third-set tiebreaker. Tiana Maine and Giana Baglione came back to win their second doubles matchup, also pulling away with it in a third set-tie breaker. Elle  Redding and Caidence Hutchison also won in three in the third set.

Men’s Soccer

Pitt Greensburg 2, Pitt-Bradford 1

BRADFORD, PA – Despite a late surge, the Panthers were unable to pull off a comeback, dropping to 5-4-3 with a loss to Pitt-Greensburg.

Pitt-Bradford would hold the Bobcats off for 35 minutes before ultimately allowing a shot into the back of the net before the half. Although PG would add to their lead in the 78th minute, the Panthers’ Bailee Verdill would net one of their own just eight minutes later. However, their final push wouldn’t materialize and Pitt-Bradford left the pitch in defeat.

The Panthers’ lone assist of the night came from Alex Stockton while Christopher House fended off two saves throughout 90 minutes.

Women’s Soccer

Pitt Greensburg 9, Pitt Bradford 0

BRADFORD, PA – Nine goals allowed in the first and four more in the second half would hand the Panthers their seventh loss in a row.

Facing 15 shots on goal, Madelyn Seeley came away with six saves in the defeat.
