Lilly G. King, 85, of Great Valley, NY died early Friday morning, September 26, 2025 at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.

Born July 31, 1940 in Posen, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Olga Wildemann Pawlak. She was married in October 1965 in Germany to Kenneth King, who predeceased her in 1987.

Along with her husband Ken, she owned and operated the former King’s Market in Great Valley for over 15 years, retiring in 1980.

Lilly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, and playing BINGO. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Great Valley and will be remembered for her strong faith.

Surviving are: a son, Richard (Lisa) King, Warren, PA; two grandsons, Darren (Shanna) King, Salamanca, NY, Joshua King, Warren, PA; a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Stahlman, Salamanca; three great-grandsons, Seth Stahlman, Parker Stahlman, Noah King, all of Salamanca, NY.

She was predeceased by a son, Jesse King, two brothers, Siegfried Wildemann and Harry Wildemann.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Matthew Herdzik of the First Baptist Church, Great Valley, officiating.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, NY.
