ST. BONAVENTURE — After a long offseason, the new-look St. Bonaventure men’s and women’s basketball teams were officially unveiled in front of a full-voiced crowd in the Reilly Center.
Each player on both teams was given their own introduction and after each squad was on the court, their respective coaches shared some brief words with the Bona faithful. Both women’s basketball coach Jim Crowley and men’s basketball coach Mark Schmidt, first, thanked the students and fans in attendance for showing their support, then urged them to continue to show up and make the RC one of the greatest atmospheres in all of college basketball.
“I appreciate the support, I hope you enjoyed the first three weeks of school, but I hope those 16 nights (we have games) you can take two hours away from the library and come out and cheer on the Bonnies,” Schmidt said. “November 8th, four o’clock, Go Bonnies.”
