BRADFORD, PA — The ninth annual NY/PA Corporate Cup Soccer Showcase is officially less than a week away.
And now that we have broken down the New York and Pennsylvania boys teams and the PA girls, the only teams left to feature are the girls Gold and Silver teams that will represent the Empire State.
The NY Girls Silver Team is set for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff against their PA counterparts meanwhile the NY Girls Gold Team will take the field at 7:30 p.m. as the finale of the event set for July 27 at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Kessell Athletic Complex.
Portville is set to highlight local talent at the showcase with 10 players making a roster, four of whom will take the field for the Gold Team. Allegany-Limestone will have the most representatives of any local program on the Gold Team with six. The Gators will see one player on the Silver Team roster.
Salamanca is set to send two players to the Corporate Cup, one making the Gold team and the other suiting up for the Silver Team. And while Olean may not have a representative on the Gold team, it will see four players suit up for the Silver Team.
Salamanca girls soccer coach Kersten Furlong and Portville girls soccer coach Mike Matz will be amongst the coaching staff headed by Southwestern’s Derek Houser.
