MONDAY ROUNDUP: 716 Fitness sneaks past Bamboo Strategy in OWSL; CCFC falls 3-1 to Buffalo United

OLEAN, NY — After scoring the game’s opening run in the top of the very first inning, 716 Fitness did just enough over the course of seven innings to keep its noses in front of Bamboo Strategy, collecting a narrow 11-8 win.

Michelle Cisco led 716 Fitness, going 3-for-4 with a triple and a home run. Supporting her, Tiffany Worthington and Liz Owens both had perfect 4-for-4 days at the plate. Ashley Erskine and Brandi Buttino both went 3-for-4 in the win as well.

Alyssa Johnson spearheaded the comeback attempt for Bamboo Strategy, hitting two home runs on the evening, one of which being a grand slam. Ashley Colley also went 3-for-3 in the loss.

Union Whiskey 21, Murdocks 1

OLEAN, NY — It was a full-team affair for Union Whiskey in its massive win over Murdocks.

Harley Ficek led the way for the victors, recording three hits and accounting for two runs. Grace Wood joined Ficeck with three hits on the night.

Lily Bushnell (3 RBI), Brittany Melfi (walk), Emily Horth (4 RBI) and Linnea Pollock (3 RBI) each connected for two hits in the win as well while Aliyah Cole finished with a home run and a team-high five RBI.

Amie Slater tallied two hits for Murdocks.

Parkwood 5, Angee’s 3

OLEAN, NY — Each tallying a double and two RBI, Kiley Anastasia and Jen Olson powered Parkwood to a narrow win over Angee’s.

Sara Levia and Marissa Olson each contributed two hits for Parkwood.

Ashley Peterson and Leslie Nasuta finished with identical 2-for-3, one RBI stat lines in the loss.

Randy’s 7, Pink Ladies 6

OLEAN, NY — Nicole Calbi’s 2-for-3 night, included a two-run triple in the sixth inning that secured a narrow win for Randy’s up the River.

Jaleesa Ard-Sledge, Alex Calbi and Bryn Milne each had two hits in the win as well.

Rachel Confer, Ann Baxter, Grace Walker and Tierney Hemphill recorded two hits apiece in the loss.

Pink Ladies 13, Murdocks 1

OLEAN, NY — Pink Ladies had four players finish with perfect nights at the plate in their big win over Murdocks.

Sara Wesley (3-for-3, RBI), Taylor George (3-for-3), Kindle Gruber (2-for-2, RBI) and Courtney Martin (2-for-2, 3 RBI) led the winning effort. Behind them, Rachel Confer (2-for-3), Ann Baxter (two hits) and Tierney Hemphill (2-for-3) each recorded two hits with Renee Williams adding a double and an RBI.

For Murdocks, Shelby Raffety went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Camille Emborksy went 2-for-2.

Misfits 18, Shamrocks 8

OLEAN, NY — Behind a grand slam from Micheyla Wiliams, Misfits cruised to a double-figure win over Shamrocks.

Kasey Wilder went a perfect 5-for-5 and Megan Cooper went 4-for-5 in the win as well.

Meghan Sizemore, Kim Stebbins and Tricia Moore each finished 3-for-4 in the loss.
