OLEAN — One hundred and five Olean High School seniors graduated at the school’s 143rd Commencement on Saturday.
The Olean Graduation Orchestra performed “Pomp and Circumstance” and the “Star Spangled Banner.” Also a Select Choir Seniors sang “Until We Meet Again.”
Liam McLaughlin, Student Activities Council president, served as master of ceremonies.
Alyssa Gaylor, co-vice president of Student Activities, gave welcoming remarks.
District Superintendent Dr. Genelle Morris and Mary Hirsh-Schena, Board of Education vice president, both gave congratulatory remarks to the seniors.
Valedictorian Evan Snyder gave the Valedictory Address. He is the son of Tobi and David Snyder and will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and Mastery in math and science.
He will attend St. Bonaventure University in the fall where he will study cybersecurity.
The Salutatory Address was given by Sullivan Hoffman. He is the son of Michael and Ellie Hoffman.
Sullivan will attend Duquesne University in the fall, majoring in finance with plans to attend law school.
