OLEAN, NY — Thanks to a dramatic three-run walk-off home run from Liz Rix, Hangry Pitches grabbed a 14-13 walk-off win over Shamrocks.
Entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the sides were knotted up at 13-13. Hangry Pitches was able to see two base runners reach as it looked to break the tie and walk away with the victory, but all it took was one swing of the bat from Rix to call game.
Melissa Elder went 3-for-4 and Dani Newman went 2-for-4 in the win as well. Finishing with one hit apiece for Hangry Pitches was Tasha Morrison, Judy Kessler, Jen Blum and Christy Lineman.
For Shamrocks, Meg Sizemore and Micheyla Williams each went 4-for-5. Kerri-Lee Santiago went 3-for-3, Tasha Beil and Tricia Reynolds went 3-for-5, Lizzie Chapman went 4-for-5, Amie Peck went 2-for-4 and Lennox Waters-Tejera went 2-for-2 in the loss as well.
Pink Ladies 7, Union Whiskey 2
OLEAN, NY — Perfect days at the plate from Elyse Graham (4-for-4, 2 RBI), Nelly Freeman (4-for-4, RBI) and Taylor George (3-for-3, RBI) led Pink Ladies to a win over Union Whiskey.
Grace Walker went 3-for-4 with two RBI while Ann Confer recorded an RBI in the win as well.
Kaelyn Arnold led Union Whiskey, finishing 3-for-3 at the dish. Jenna Hadley and Mandy Martin (2 RBI) each went 2-for-3 in the loss as well.
Angee’s 17, Mickey’s 1
OLEAN, NY — Sophia Aiello, Hannah Lathrop and Courtney McCutchen each went 3-for-4 in Angee’s big win over Mickey’s.
Sheri Droney, Lindsay Loper, Leslie Nasuta and Ashley Peterson finished 2-for-4 and Kendra Colegrove went 2-for-2 for Angee’s as well.
Alexa Schoonover, Amily Clendenin, Jamilyn Giberson, Eva West, Karissa Neal and Beth Mills each tallied a hit for Mickey’s.
Bamboo Strategy 18, Parkwood 11
OLEAN, NY — In its high-scoring victory over Parkwood, Ashley Colley and Alyssa Johnson led Bamboo Strategy with their 4-for-4 performances.
Andrea Darrow went 3-for-5 and Casey Cummings finished 3-for-4 in the win as well.
For Parkwood, Sara Levia, Abby Grabow and Jill Stebbins finished 4-for-4 in the loss.
Hangry Pitches 17, Murdocks 3
OLEAN, NY — Liz Rix’s two home runs led Hangry Pitches in their big win over Murdocks.
Britta Rajski and Tasha Morrison each went 4-for-5 with a home run in the win as well. Christy Lineman and Judy Kessler finished 3-for-5 while Jen Blum and Dani Newman finished 2-for-5 for Hangry Pitches.
Shelby Giberson went 2-for-2 for Murdocks. Kay Slater, Mel Patanella, Jess Baca and Erin Hitchcock recorded a hit apiece in the loss as well.
Parkwood 8, 716 Pitches 7
OLEAN, NY — Lo Melfi went 4-for-4 as she led Parkwood to a narrow win over 716 Pitches.
Jen Olson (2 RBI), Ash Brown, Abby Grabow (RBI) and Kayla Berlin (RBI) each added two hits to the winning effort.
Raegan Kenney went 3-for-4 with two RBI in the loss. Liz Owens (RBI) and Lacy Arnold (# RBI) added two hits apiece.
