Salamanca unified basketball claims Section 6 title

WEST SENECA — After defeating Iroquois 58-50, the Salamanca unified basketball team claimed the Section 6 title in their bracket.

Kaine Whitcomb led the Warriors, scoring 16 points in the victory. Jacob Johnson-Drain joined Whitcomb in double-figures with 12 points of his own.

Jacob Abrams (eight points), Gordon Sullivan (eight points), Ashton Smith (four points), Logan Abrams (four points), David Dunn (four points) and John Holmes-Pierce (two points) each got on the scoresheet as well.

Smith earned the Section 6 Sportsmanship Award and Dunn was named the Character Athlete of the Game.
