ELLICOTTVILLE, NY – Looking to close the season out on a hot streak, the Portville baseball team scored their fifth straight wins as consistent batting carried them over the Eagles in a 15-5 win on the road.
Ty Kosinski carried the load on offense, ending a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBIs and two runs scored personally. Dylan Chudy (2-for-4) scored twice while Braeden Carter (4-for-5) chipped in two RBIs and one run. Izayah Edmund found three hits in five appearances as the Panthers improved to 7-5.

PORTVILLE, NY – Despite pulling ahead early, the Panthers were unable to stop Fillmore’s comeback, suffering their seventh loss of the season.
Isabella Morales ended with a team-high three hits for Portville while Madison Ford scored twice and drove in two RBIs during her 2-for-3 day at the plate. Emma Warters finished 1-for-4 with one run and two RBIs as the Panthers fell to 5-7.

BRADFORD, PA – As they march towards the end of their season, the Lady Owls suffered their second blow out in a row as errors piled up against the Lady Rovers.
Mackenzie Taylor and Daisy Greene both ended 2-for-3 at the plate but were unable to find ways to close the distance to home. Mallory Craig (1-for-2), Alexia Kicior (1-for-3) and Bella Zandy (1-for-2) all tallied hits during the loss.

SALAMANCA — In its doubleheader against Dunkirk, the Salamanca softball team managed to split narrow results with Dunkirk.
In the first game of the evening, Charli Ross conceded just two hits from the circle, earning her third win of the season. Hadleigh Krug went 3-for-3 at the plate and was credited with scoring the game-winning run on the back of Jaelynn Cooper’s walk-off single in the bottom of the fifth.
In the second game, Ross did her damage at the plate, going 3-for-3, but unfortunately gave up nine runs over the first two innings on four hits.

SALAMANCA — After picking up back-to-back wins for the first time this season, the Salamanca girls lacrosse team dropped back into the loss column after falling 18-5 to Clarence on senior night.

The Warriors fell to 0-13 on the season and 0-8 in league play as they suffered a defeat at the hands of the Panthers.

The Warriors came within inches of their third win of the season but ultimately couldn’t not finish strong against Jamestown.
Kaine Whitcomb led the Warriors with 13 points. Also scoring for the Warriors were Logan Abrams (10), John Holmes-Pierce (6), Ashton Smith (4), Jacob Abrams (4), Ernest Pinnecoose (4) and Gordon Sullivan (2).
