Cuba, NY Richard “Dick” Paul Williams, 84, of Cuba, NY, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025.

Born on January 20, 1941, in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late Paul Williams and Gladys (Mowry) Williams. Dick graduated from Allegany High School in 1958 and went on to attend Alfred State College. On November 3, 1962, he married the love of his life, Naomi Schadt, with whom he shared many cherished years before her passing on June 4, 1995.

He began his career in refrigeration at Market Basket in 1960 and joined Dresser Clark Industries in 1964, where he dedicated 39 years in the service department. His leadership and commitment to excellence were widely recognized, and he retired in 2003 after holding several key roles within the company. His work afforded him the opportunity to travel extensively, visiting numerous countries and cultures. He always returned home with fascinating stories, keepsakes, and a deep appreciation for the people he met along the way.

Dick was a former member of the Freemason society in Allegany, and was known for his warmth, humor, and generosity. He loved the outdoors and found great joy in golf, boating, fishing, and hunting. He especially treasured time spent with family at the cottage, where fourth of July celebrations were always a highlight.

He is survived by his loving children, Rick Williams (Katie) of Rochester, NY, and Danielle Brisky of Olean, NY; his brother, Daniel Williams (Janet); and four adored grandchildren Rick, Courtney, Conner, and Morgan along with nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Naomi, his father Paul, and his mother Gladys.

Dick will be remembered for his deep love for family, his adventurous spirit, and his lifelong curiosity about the world.

A private funeral service will be held at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean, followed by burial next to his wife Naomi in Allegany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
