OLEAN, NY — Responding to their first loss in four weeks, the Olean softball team quickly put themselves back in the win column, dominating Southwestern in a no-hitter 13-0, four-inning victory.
Emma Edwards led the way from the circle, racking five strikeouts in the first three frames. In the meantime, the Huskies got busy as they cracked open the batters’ box sooner rather than later. Scoring eight in just the first two innings, Olean sealed their fifth win in six games with consistent batting and oppressive defense.
Edwards ended with nine Ks through four innings, also tallying one hit and two runs during three appearances at the plate. Riley Sudbrook went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and one RBI while Anna Bates ended 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Alaina Hirliman finished 1-for-2 with three runs and two RBIs.

CLEARFIELD, PA — The Bradford softball team saw its win streak reach its end at the hands of Clearfield, which produced a consistent offensive performance en route to its win.
The Owls managed to tally 10 hits on the night, but only scored six runs on the back of those hits. Meanwhile, the Bison were much more efficient with their offense — which was helped by five Bradford errors — scoring 13 on 17 hits.

CLEARFIELD, PA — Although able to keep stride early, the Owls watched as Clearfield slowly pulled away, scoring three runs in the sixth that would ultimately be the final nail.
After testing the waters in the top of the first, Bradford would break things open with a lead-off Talan Reese home run in the second. They would tag on another run with a RBI-single from Lucas Wallace that drove in AJ Lama. However, the Bison would respond with two runs of their own, then holding the Owls scoreless as they took the lead in the third.
From there, Clearfield maintained control of the game, adding to the scoreboard in every following frame. Bradford would score one last time in the sixth when Brody Haviland brought in Maksim Demic with a sacrifice grounder.
Six Owls registered hits during the loss, with Wallace and Tarren Reese finding two each. Talan Reese ended 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
