Gilbert E. York of Eldred Road passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Gilbert was born on April 1, 1951, in Canton, NY and was the son of James O. and Mildred I. Hennigan York. On February 13, 1971, in Canton, he married Sharon M. Milliron, who survives.
Gilbert was a 1970 graduate of Canton High School. He drove truck for about 10 years. Gilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them.
Beside his loving wife Sharon, Gilbert is survived by his three sons, Shannon M. (Terri) York of Rixford, PA., Brian C. York of Eldred, and Kerry A. “Buddha” (Sharon) York of Eldred, 4 siblings, 9 grandchildren, Allen York, Spryce York, Jared McAndrew, Allison Horne, Derek McAndrew, Brooke York, Nick York, Tryston York, and Noah York and 8 great grandchildren.
Gilbert was predeceased by his parents and a brother.
