Portville- Alice E. McMillen “Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother”

Alice E. McMillen passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at her home.

Alice was born September 6, 1942, in Mobile, AL and was the daughter of Robert “Liver” and Dorothy Livingston.

On June 23, 1990, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Allegany she married her loving husband, of 32 years, James L. McMillen who predeceased her on September 28, 2022. They worked together as a devoted couple to create and sell crafts at various craft shows.

Alice worked as a nurse’s aide at the Pines Nursing Home for many years. She was a giving and nurturing person to everyone that knew her. Alice never shied away from a game of scrabble or missed an Alabama Crimson Tide football game.

Alice was a lifelong member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church of Allegany.

Alice was passionate about creating art. She enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting, and making ceramics.

Alice is survived by; 3 children, Robin L. (Lee) Allen of Friendship, Mary-Beth Seeley of Olean and Kevin R. (Kristie) McMillen of Waverly, KS; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Cleveland, Jennifer Margeson, Jamie Chase, Eric Seeley, Alyson Seeley, Sean (Abby) Robertson, Calvin McMillen and Evelyn McMillen; 7 great grandchildren, Jenna, Tayden, Jaydalyn, Natalie, Niall, Harper and Blake; a brother, Robert (Terry) Livingston of Tamaqua, PA.

Along with her loving husband James, Alice was predeceased by; her parents.

Friends will be received on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 36 N 4th Street Allegany, at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Gerald F. Laber will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E.
