KANE, PA – Winning the battle at the plate 14-4, the Bradford softball team strung together back-to-back wins, dominating Kane 16-1 in 6 innings.

Despite suffering two outs in their first three batters, Bradford refused to give up in the top of the first. With one baserunner on third, Daisy Greene would kick things off with an RBI double. From there, the next four Lady Owls would get on base as they scored four more runs before the end of the innings.

Although Kane responded with a run in the bottom of the first, Bradford would continue to maintain the momentum, scoring runs in the next four frames as they got way out in front. By the end of the game, six Lady Owls had tallied hits with four recording two or more.

Greene ended 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three more batted in while Alyssa Johnson finished a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one RBI. Bella Zandy impressed with four RBIs, going 1-for-3 and crossing home plate twice herself.

Bradford will return to action on Friday, when they travel to take on Coudersport at 4:30 p.m.

Portville grabbed a hold of the lead early, gradually building an advantage with consistent hits. However, Franklinville would cut their momentum short with three scores in the bottom of the fifth. Holding the Panthers scoreless in the next two innings, Franklinville sealed their victory with three more runs in the bottom of the seventh.
