DUBOIS, PA – Unable to find consistency on neither offense nor defense, the Bradford baseball team fell to 2-2 after losing to DuBois, 8-1.

The Owls would suffer a self-inflicted wound early, allowing DuBois to score on an error in the first frame. From there, the Beavers would consistently pour in runs, scoring three in the fourth and two more in the fifth. Bradford’s lone run of the loss came from a Taran Reese RBI single.

Taran Reese was one of four Owls to tally hits on the day, ending 1-for-3. Maxsim Demic and Ben Woodhouse each collected a hit while Aidan Willard went 2-for-4 with one run scored. On the mound, Talan Reese struck out six while giving up just three hits in as many innings.

The Owls will return to action on Thursday, hosting Portville at 5 p.m.

DUBOIS, PA – The Lady Owls suffered their second loss of the year, falling to a red hot DuBois squad.

Bradford quickly found themselves in a hole. Despite earning two runs in their first appearance at the plate – M Gomez and Alyssa Johnson both hit singles before Daisy Greene smacked a two-run RBI double – the Lady Beavers were eager to respond. After reaching on a Bradford error and single, DuBois took the lead with a three-run home run. From there, the next eight Lady Beavers made it on base either by single or Lady Owl error as they tacked on 11 first frame runs.

Bradford would finish out the game scoreless, watching as DuBois tacked on six more scores in the final two frames.

Johnson went a perfect 2-for-2 for the Lady Owls, tallying one run in the loss. In the circle, Greene struck out two batters through two innings.
