Richard Tucker, 66, of Salamanca, NY, died Tuesday morning, March 4, 2025 at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born December 12, 1958 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Raymond and Joan Hook Tucker.

He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1977.

Richard had been employed with the Allegany State Park, Parkview Supermarket, and the former Red Lantern.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings fan, and will be remembered for his love of dogs, especially his late beloved dog, Chloe.

Surviving are: his brother, Robert (Cathy) Tucker, Salamanca, NY; three nieces, Kristen (Christopher) Wofford, Waynesville, GA, Kasey Tucker, Salamanca, NY, Carly (Jake) Kennedy, Canton, NY; a nephew Zach (Liz) Tucker, Salamanca, NY; three great-nieces, Parker Ray, Allie Tucker, both Salamanca, NY, Emma Kennedy, Canton, NY; four great-nephews, Christopher Wallace, Ft. Campbell, KY, Zaron Tucker, Jaxton Tucker, both of Salamanca, NY, Grayson Kennedy, Canton, NY.

Per his wishes, there will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the SPCA, 2944 Route 16, Olean, NY 14760, or the American Diabetes Association, 745 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY 14226.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
