WASHINGTON —  Rep. Nick Langworthy (NY-23) released the following statement after President Trump’s Joint Address to Congress Tuesday evening:

“Under the Trump Administration, the American Dream is being renewed. I was honored to be seated on the House floor to hear President Trump’s remarks live, and I know America’s best days are ahead.

The state of the Union is on a path back to strength, and it has only been 44 days.. His speech was inspiring and exactly what the American people needed to hear, highlighting the very best of our country.

I was discouraged and appalled by Democrats’ reprehensible conduct – from disrespectfully interrupting the President mid-speech, to intentionally sitting during the announcement of the terrorist behind the Abbey Gate Bombing.

Despite what the other side thinks or does, I look forward to continuing to work with the Trump Administration to secure the border, bring investments and manufacturing back to the US, and restore a common-sense approach to spending.”
