SALAMANCA — For just the second time all season, the Salamanca boys basketball team tasted defeat, falling to Falconer 62-54 at home.

After a slow start, the Warriors were able to battle back and even held a marginal lead going into the final quarter of play. However, in that final frame is when the Golden Falcons made their late charge to victory, out-scoring their hosts 25-13.

Nathan Bailey scored a game-high 20 points for Falconer, but Roger Markham, who scored 11 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter alone, powered the visitors over the finish line.

Salamanca’s Maddox Isaac scored a team-high 18 points in the loss with Payton Bradley and Jaxon Crouse both having provided 10 in support.
