Daniel Gerard Kruszynski, 15, of Ellicottville, NY, died unexpectedly Monday evening, February 10, 2025 at home.

Born October 8, 2009 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Daniel and Carla Becker Kruszynski, Ellicottville, NY.

He was a freshman at Ellicottville Central School.

Daniel enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, snowboarding, swimming, and being out on the water at Rushford Lake. He played soccer, ran track and threw discus, and played the trumpet in band. He was a member of the unified bowling team, a member of the chorus, participated in musicals and plays, and competed in Quiz Bowl. He was a fan of garage sales and was always looking for the perfect bargain. He also enjoyed building with Legos and other things.

Surviving besides his parents are: his brother, Jackson Kruszynski, Ellicottville, NY; his sister, Cayda Kruszynski, Ellicottville, NY; his maternal grandparents, Gerard and Mary Ellen Jackson Becker, Ellicottville, NY; his paternal grandmother, Rebecca Swihart Kruszynski, Great Valley, NY; his beloved dog, Ink; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Daniel W. Kruszynski.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 5 – 8 p.m. and Monday from 2 – 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Holy Name of Mary RC Church (time to be announced). with Rev. Tim Koester, Pastor of the Lakeshore Catholic Faith Community, as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Daniel G. Kruszynski Memorial Fund, c/o CCSE Federal Credit Union 417 Broad Street, Salamanca, NY 14779.
