DUNKIRK, NY – Battling tooth-and-nail for four full quarters, the Olean boys’ basketball team picked up their fifth consecutive win with a road victory over Dunkirk, 50-45.
In each of the first three quarters, the Huskies and the Marauders scored tick-for-tack with Olean holding a slim one-point advantage at the end of every period. In the fourth, the Huskies pulled away with a 14-10 scoring stretch, led by Joe Mest’s four points.
Mest knocked down two 3-pointers on his way to seven points while Mykel Rivera scored a game-high 14 points. Dominic Giovine also reached double-digit figures with 11.
In the midst of a now five-game win streak, Olean improvest to 6-6.

Maddox Isaac and Avery Brown each scored 15 points while Cartlon Farmer ended with 10 points. This win brings the Warriors’ current stretch of success to seven consecutive victories.

GALETON, PA – Ten Lady Terrors made their way into the score books at O-E wrapped up their four-game week with a win over Galeton.
Rayel Hakes ended with a team-high eight points while Ayla Van Scoter and Lexi Prince had seven. Baylee Francis had four points alongside six rebounds and four steals followed by Jahden Smith with five rebounds and four steals to go with her six points.

GOWANDA – Leading the team on back-to-back nights, Ava Jo Edwards and Emma Rhinehart carried the Lady Panthers to a comeback win over Gowanda.
Finding themselves down early, it would take three quarters for Portville to even the score. Then, the already surging Lady Panthers sealed the win with a 10-point fourth quarter.
Edwards finished with a team-high 14 points alongside three assists while Rhinehart ended with 13 points and eight rebounds. Ali Haynes also had eight rebounds to go with her five points.
