Maureen Kay (Courtney) Mayer, 66, formerly of the Gerry-Levant Road, Falconer, passed away January 17, 2025 at the Warren Manor.
She was born June 3, 1958 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Charles Donald and Adria Miller Congdon Courtney. Miss Courtney was a 1976 graduate of Falconer Central School and Fredonia (SUNY) University with a Master’s in Education and Administration.
She is survived two sons; Robert Charles Mayer and Brian Ronald Mayer, a daughter; Courtney Lynn Pritchard, a grand-daughter; Victoria “Tory” Pritchard, and her siblings, Charles D. Courtney Jr., Mary Ann Courtney Keyser, Barbara June Courtney Washburg with whom she shared a home and Carol Adria Courtney Easton and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles D. Courtney Sr. and mother Adria Congdon Courtney, two brothers; infant James Peter Courtney, and Brian James Courtney in 2009.
As per Maureen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services observed. A Celebration of Life will be announced by the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph.
