BRADFORD, PA – After stringing together four wins in a row, the Bradford girls’ basketball team’s win streak came to a close with a loss to District 9 League opponent Warren, losing 48-33.
Early on, the Lady Owls struggled to stop Peyton Wotorson, who kicked off the game with 11 first-quarter points. From there, Bradford was playing a continuous game of catchup to no avail.
Hayley Keane led Bradford with 13 points while Alyssa Johnon knocked down two triples for six points. Mallory Craig also scored six points while Mackenzie Taylor recorded five points in the loss.

JAMESTOWN — Two 17-point performances Gianna Sirianni and Ellie Pearson led Southwestern to a comfortable win over Olean.
The Huskies only trailed by 12 entering halftime, but after scoring just seven points in the third frame compared to the Trojans’ 23, a comeback was put too far out of reach.
Alaina Hirliman led the offense for Olean with a team-high eight points. Just behind her was Anna Bates, who scored seven and Ava Finch, who scored six.

SMETHPORT, PA – Landon Francis led the Terrors with 31 points as O-E recorded their tenth win of the season.
From the get go, the Terrors got everything they wanted on offense and stopped any and everything on defense, evident by a 43-0 score after the first quarter and a 71-4 lead heading into halftime.
Along with Franics’ 31, Manning Splain and Davey Schenfield both scored 19 points. Shene Thomas, who threw down three dunks during the win, ended with 14 points.

The Warriors took down the Red Dragons, taking down Maple Grove for the first time in recent memory.
The Warriors also nearly filled the entire line up and gave up only one forfeit on the night. Collecting wins for the Warriors was Noah Longley 124, Jesse Hill 138, Conner Seeley 152, Thomas George 160, Everett Atwood 215, Kasen Hardy 285 and Kyle Oakes 101. The match began with the 124 lb weight class. Ryder Jimerson also earned a win during his exhibition match.
The Warriors, who improve to 3-6 overall and 2-1 in league play, will compete again this weekend at the Franklinville Boys JV tournament and the Ken-Ton Girls duals.
