Olean- Rodney R. “Rod” Edwards “Loving Brother, Uncle, & Friend” 

 Rodney R. Edwards of South 2nd Street, formerly of Cuba and Belfast, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at home following a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer. 

 Rod was born on November 11, 1965, in Cuba and was the son of Richard H. and Beverly Mills Edwards. 

 Rod was a 1983 graduate of Richburg High School and attended Alfred State Nursing Program. He worked at the Connection & Data Collection Service until he became disabled. Rod was very involved in “Where are the Sirens Going” on Facebook for many years. He was always helping others. Rod was a very positive and caring person who will be dearly missed. 

 Rod is survived by his father, Richard H. (Lois) Edwards of Allentown, five siblings: April G. Edwards of Forest Lake, MN., Tammy Edwards of Wellsville, Kay E. Bump of Portville, Richard Paul (Christina) Edwards and James R. (Robin) Edwards, both of Allentown, many nieces and nephews, special friends: Sharon and Mark Tuttle of Belmont, Erica and Rob Slocum of Bolivar, and Sharron and Ronald Scott of Olean. 

 Rod was predeceased by his mother, Beverly Laferriere, his life partner, Clifford E. Rauch on February 9, 2023, and two brothers: Scott and Wesley “Tuffy” Edwards. 

Services will be held from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc. 24 Genesee Parkway, Cuba 14727. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to “Winning Olean Back” at the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce at 301 N Union Street, Olean, NY 14760 or to a Charity of the donor’s choice.
