Cattaraugus Little Valley tops Pioneer Jr. Panthers 20-0
The CCMFL Playoffs got underway this weekend with four teams advancing in the “A” bracket of the Midget level playoffs. The Cattaraugus/Little Valley Timberwolves dominated both offensively and defensively in their first-round playoff win, shutting out the Pioneer Jr. Panthers 20-0. Parker Schmitt powered the offense, racking up 100 rushing yards and scoring two touchdowns. Easton Miller added to the momentum with an impressive 50-yard touchdown run. On the defensive side, Jack Griffith and Easton Chlebek led with multiple key tackles, while Garret Hill sealed the victory with two interceptions. Coach Devin Huber praised his team with their “total team effort” as they advanced in the playoffs. CLV will now faceoff against the undefeated Allegany Gators.
Allegany edges out Franklinville
Allegany won a nail biter against a very tough and determined Franklinville Panther team. Coming at 3-3 the Panthers gave the Gators all that they could handle. Gator coach Travis Aderman was completely impressed with the Panthers “Franklinville came to play and played one heck of a game. The boys on both teams should hold their heads high because they gave it everything they had!”
Allegany’s lone score came on a tough run by Logan Hardy and the winning extra point being run in by Logan Wojtowicz. The Gator/Timberwolves game will be played this Saturday the 5th starting at 3PM.
Bolivar-Richburg tops Wellsville 33-20
In other A bracket action, The Bolivar Richburg Wolverines stayed unbeaten as they took care of the Wellsville Lions 33-20 and the Raiders from Randolph just got by the Springville Griffins 14-13. The Wolverines and Raiders play the opening game on Saturday at 1 PM in Springville.
