Week 6 saw the undefeated Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines bring their record to 5-0 with a 41-22 victory over the host Wellsville Lions (2-3). The Wolverines continue to lead the league in offense as they are averaging just over 27 points a game and are 3rd on defense only giving up an average of 11. They look to cap an undefeated season this Saturday the 21st as they host the Panthers from Portville.
The Allegany Gators remained the only other unbeaten teams they posted third 3rd shutout of the season with a 20-0 road win over the Bradford Raptors. The Gators standout defense has only surrendered a to of 27 points, just over 5 per game, while their offense (129 points, 25.8 per game) is second only to the Wolverines.
In other Midget action; The Salamanca Warriors unleashed their offense as they upended the visiting Springville Griffins 40-26. This was only the Griffins second loss of the season as they came into the game on a four game winning streak after losing the opening game of the season to the Wolverines.
The Randolph Raiders won their third game in a row downing the visiting Portville Panthers 20-6 to run their record to 4-1. Catt/Little Valley earned a hard fought victory over the Ellicottville Eagles 21-19 to move into a second place tie with the Raiders.
The final week of the season is Saturday the 21st with a full schedule of action. Only the Pioneer Jr Panthers have a bye before the Play-off seedings are finalized.
