Salamanca Wins, John, Ficek Score Hat Tricks for Ellicottville

High School Soccer 9-10-24

The Salamanca Warriors picked up their first win of the season with a 5-2 victory over the Catt-Little Valley Timberwolves. Salamanca’s 8th grader Ellouise Brown scored her first two varsity goals and Arleigh Chudy added two more for the Warriors.  Madisyn Lafferty, and Maylina Massagli each picked up a goal and an assist, and Leilene McComber added an assist to round out the scoring.   Myla Galante had an impressive performance in net securing 7 saves along the way!  “Summer Downey, McComber, Massagli, Izabella Milks, and Madisyn Lafferty led our team tonight together as a unit” said Coach Kersten Furlong, “They created many opportunities to score and showed great improvement on the field.”

For Catt Little Valley, Candice Brown (1 goal 1 assist), Talon Bramer (1 goal 1 assist) and Zoe Whitmore ( 1 assist) lead the Timberwolves.  Anna Dorn recorder 11 saves in an outstanding effort.  Salamanca travels to Portville and Catt/Little Valley goes to Randolph in Thursday’s action.

Ficek and John Score Hat Trick’s

Addison John scored 4 goals and picked up an assist as the Ellicottville Eagles defeated visiting Pine Valley/Gowanda in Tuesday night’s soccer action.  Drew Ficek got the scoring rolling for the Eagles before John let lose with the next three.  Ficek finished the game with 2 more goals for her own hat trick and added 2 assists as well.  Julianna O’Connell added the last Eagle score.  Courtney Marsh picked up the shutout win by turning away the 2 shots she faced.

Allegany-Limestone remained unbeaten with a hard fought 1-0 win as they traveled to Pioneer.
