ALLEGANY — House Agriculture Committee Chairman Rep. Glenn “GT” Thompson will be one of the guests at Monday night’s Right Thinkers meeting at The Hall, 80 N. Fourth St.
The theme for this month’s meeting is “Agriculture, Farming, Forestry, and Wind & Solar Farms.”
Thompson, R-Pa., represents the 15th Congressional District in Pennsylvania. He lives in Howard, Pa.
Joining Thompson on the panel are State Sen. George Borrello, who is ranking member on the Senate Agriculture Committee; former Sen. Catharine Young of Olean, executive director of the New York State Center of Excellence for Food and Agriculture at Cornell University’s AgriTech Center, and Norm Ungermann, a former Allegany County legislator and businessman.
The doors at “The Hall” will open by 5 o’clock for a meet and greet, an opportunity to speak to participants and check out vendors and exhibits.
Complimentary Pizza and Water bottles are available at 5 o’clock and the main meeting will begin at 6.
The meeting starts with prayer by Pastor Jon Ward of the Cuba North Park Wesleyan Church, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, and then Dr. John Miller will sing the National Anthem.
The panelists are then introduced and respond to a series of questions from moderator Nate Smith.
