Olean- Pierre Elwood Kline “Loving Husband, Father & Brother”
Pierre E. Kline of 138 N. 19th Street, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Pierre was born February 24, 1947 in Schenectady and was the son of Elwood and Georgette Guillaume Kline. On February 14, 2020 he married Awilda Maysonet who survives.
Pierre was a 1965 graduate of Linton High School in Schenectady. He later received his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy and worked for a number of companies including; Boeing Aircraft, Dresser Rand, General Electric and Northrup. Pierre was known for being a very generous and loving man who loved helping anyone he saw in need.
Pierre enjoyed fly fishing, camping at Battenkill Campground in Vermont, reading, good food and he was passionate about working out at Eades Gym where he would also help people with their training.
Along with his loving wife, Awilda, Pierre is survived by; 4 stepsons, Peter E. (Awilda) Rivera of Bronx, NY, Steve E. (Marybeth) Rivera of Maybrook, Nelson (Angela) Rivera of Olean, Isaac B. (Jessica) Rivera of Machias; many step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a sister, Marie R. Kline of Schenectady; 2 nieces, Lynn (Rob) McDonough of Clifton Park, Renee (Chris) Centner of Pennellville; and his dog, Molly.
Pierre was predeceased by his parents; 2 sons, Korey Kline in 2003 and Kristen Kline in 2019.
Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at which time a memorial service will be held. Pastor Dan Todd will officiate. Full military honors will be accorded by the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892 ritual team at 4:00pm.
