Michael E Hulbert, beloved father and brother

Olean- Michael E. Hulbert of Olean, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Olean General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness.

Mike was born in Olean on August 24, 1965, he was the son of the late Merle E. and Carmella T. (Alaimo) Hulbert, Sr.

Mike attended Olean High School and worked for Shultz’s as a car salesman. He loved to golf and fish, and he liked to cook for his family and friends. His favorite vacation destination was Walt Disney World.

Mike is survived by his children, Tanya Washburn, Aubrey (Seth) Chittum, Hannah Hulbert and Oakley Hulbert; granddaughters, Alana Rowand, Jocelyn Hagen and Saylor Chittum; three sisters, Elizabeth M. “Sissy” Larkin, Cindy M. Hulbert and Sandy L. Acevedo; and a brother, Scott J. (Amanda) Hulbert.

He was predeceased by his parents, Merle and Carmella; a brother, Merle E. Hulbert Jr.; and a sister, Michelle L. Hulbert.

Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean, on Sunday (December 1, 2024) from 12 pm to 1 pm, with a funeral service starting at 1 pm in the funeral home.
