Mariam A. Ordway, 67, of Salamanca, NY, died Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Salamanca Rehabilitation & Nursing Center following a long illness.
Born February 8, 1957 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard Sr. and Camellia Howe Kayes.
She was a graduate of Archbishop Walsh High School, Class of 1975.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and collected angels. Mariam was a member of the Harvest Field Ministries, Olean, NY. She will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her cats.
Surviving are: three sons, Larry Orway Jr., Olean, NY, Richard (Maria) Dibble, Salamanca, NY, Bruce Wilcox, Eldred, PA; a daughter, Heather Ordway, Conneautville, PA; three granddaughters, Kristina (Josh) Rivera-Querns, Krystal (Jacob) Reyes, both of Olean, NY, Kayleen Reyes, Salamanca, NY; six grandsons, Joshua Rivera, Salamanca, NY, Gabriel Ordway, Portville, NY, Job Podgorny, Lockport, NY, Kyle Dibble, Richard Dibble Jr., both of Salamanca, NY, Ezekiel Stiles, Franklinville, NY; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Kyle Mosher, three sisters, Florence Mosher, Camellia Payette, and Catherine Flanigan, and three brothers, Henry Kayes, Richard Kayes Jr., and Raymond Kayes.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 1 – 3pm at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Craig Querns, Harvest Field Ministry, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Total Senior Care, 519 N Union Street, Olean, NY or Harvest Field Ministries, 406 W State Street, Olean, NY.
