MSGT Keith D. Harvey, 60, of Route 62, Conewango Valley, NY, passed away Friday, (November 1, 2024) at the UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa, after an extended illness.

He was born February 27, 1964 in Gowanda the son of the late, Lawrence H. Harvey and Alice A. (Fuller) Shearer.

Following graduation from Pine Valley Central School in 1982, Keith immediately entered the United States Air Force, where served as an Armament Systems Craftsman (Bomb Loader) from 1982-2008. Following his retirement he worked for over 10 years for the former Bargain Outlet (Home Outlet) in Lakewood, NY.

Keith’s interests included; dressing up in Costume, and his favorite characters were playing the Grinch at Christmas and Captain Jack Sparrow for Halloween. He loved playing guitar; and over the years, he built several guitars from scratch. He was a talented woodworker and he enjoyed building furniture. He also loved riding motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his companion and caregiver; Cristina Bucklin, a son; Trent (Nicole) Harvey of St. Paul, Kansas, a daughter; Breanna (Josh) Hamilton of Camp Pendleton, CA, seven grandchildren; Taygan Harvey, Olo’rin Harvey, Colson Harvey, Beau and Axel, Kane Hamilton and Maci Hamilton.

He is additionally survived by four sisters Patricia Perkins of Brooksville, FL, Deborah (Ronald) Nieder of Gerry, Brenda Harvey of Conewango Valley and Cindy Hitchcock of Little Valley, a brother; Ralph Shearer of Randolph and many nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; David, Henry and Dale Harvey.

As per Keith’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will announced. Burial Inurnment will be in the Treat Memorial Cemetery in Leon, NY.
