OLEAN — The Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce will present 2024 Southern Tier Restaurant Week Aug. 9-16.

Participating GOACC member restaurants will be offering a specialty item or a specialty menu exclusive to Restaurant Week.

“This gives our member restaurants a chance to try out a new creation, highlight a favorite, promote their businesses, and welcome new and returning customers,” said Adam Jester, GOACC interim executive director.

“Our area has for decades been blessed with an incredibly talented and robust hospitality and dining industry,” Jester said. “We’ve been the beneficiary of multiple generations passing down recipes and businesses over the years, and now that great history is complemented by comparative newcomers who bring an entirely new perspective.” GOACC will collect and compile all the items and menus from participating member restaurants into a booklet that will give customers the perfect guide to all the spots and specials.

The booklet will be available online, at www.OleanNY.com/RestaurantWeek by Wednesday, Aug. 7. Printed copies can be picked up at the Chamber office, located at 301 N. Union St., also after Aug. 7.

Each time restaurant goers visit a participating restaurant and order a special Restaurant Week item, they’re encouraged to snap a picture, upload it to Facebook and tag the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce.

Make sure to caption it with the hashtag, #GOACCRestaurantWeek. Give our local restaurants a shout-out! After all, this week is all about them, Jerster said.

The owner of each hashtagged photo will be entered into our drawing for a Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce gift certificate. Visit as many restaurants as many times as you’d like, just make sure you snap those pics!

Those who wish to enter the drawing, but not electronically, can collect their receipts and bring them into the GOACC office, by Aug. 21, to have their names entered in the drawing.
