EAST AURORA, NY – In a knock-down-drag-out road matinee, the Olean football team finally saw the cards fall their way, beating East Aurora for their inaugural victory, 9-0.
Although neither team was able to make their way into the endzone through the first quarter, that’s exactly how the Huskies started the second. On their first play of the quarter, Owen Tingley took the ball one yard, across the plain for the first score of the day. Missing the extra point, it would take another 18 minutes for Olean to cushion their lead. Midway through the third quarter, the Huskies pulled away for good with a 32-yard field goal from Terrell James, ultimately sealing the team’s first win.
Colby Booth led the Huskies in rushing yards, ending with 32 on five carries along with his team-high 10 total tackles, while Dom Myers finished with 44 passing yards through the air, completing three of his six attempts.
At 1-3, Olean will look to build on their momentum when they return home to see Iroquois (2-2).

ALLEGANY, NY – In a non-league Saturday matchup, the Panthers and the Gators ended the day deadlocked.
Colin German scored Portville’s lone goal of the day.

Allegany-Limestone 7, North Towanda 2
ALLEGANY, NY – A pair of hat tricks from Kennedy Honeck and Leea Kopp kept the Gators’ win streak thriving, picking up their ninth win of the season as they dominated the Lumberjacks.
Honeck and Kopp both scored three goals in the win, with Honeck also picking up two assists, while Kai Wojewoda-Ko tallied two assists and one goal. Ember DeGroff, Cara Giannicchi and Kendall Lemon all also had assists in the win. In goal, Kenna MacArthur and Meagan Morgan both came away with five saves a-piece.
Portville 10, Olean 0
OLEAN, NY – Coming off a tough loss two days prior, the Panthers leapt back into the win column with a dominating blowout over the Huskies.
Portville opened the day with a whopping seven goals in the first before tacking on three more in the second half.
Improving to 5-4, the Panthers will start the week on Tuesday with a road game against Falconer/CV/MG (7-2). Olean, who suffered their sixth consecutive loss, will stay on the road to see Catt-Little Valley on Monday at 5 p.m.
