Olean- Lawrence M. Joseph “Loving Husband, Father & Brother” 

 Lawrence M. Joseph of West Spring Street passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Olean General Hospital following an illness. 

 Lawrence was born on February 16, 1951, in Olean and was the son of Mielad and Florence Wollenburger Joseph. On October 28, 1972, at St. Joseph Catholic Church he married Deborah K. Lyons, who survives. 

 Lawrence was a 1969 graduate of Olean High School. He worked for the Parks Department in Olean for over 20 years until his retirement. Lawrence enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and fishing. 

 Beside his loving wife Deborah, Lawrence is survived by his two children: Christopher (Lauren) Joseph of Falls Church, VA. and Lori A. (Billy) Triplett of Ashburn, VA., four grandchildren: Jackson, Benjamin, Will and Ruby, a brother, Emil F. (Joanne) Joseph of Allegany, four brothers-in-laws; Moose (Marilyn) Lyons, Tom (Judy) Lyons, Tim (Brenda) Lyons and Mike (Sandy) Lyons, two sisters-in-laws; Mary Ann Scanlon and Pam (Michael) Neary, as well as several nieces and nephews.  

 Lawrence was predeceased by his parents, his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Lois Lyons, and brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe Lyons and Daniel Scanlon. 

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Wednesday, May 22, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church 1102 Walnut Street, Olean on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10:00am where the Rev. Claude W. Franklin will officiate.
