Karl E. Dutton of Union Valley Road passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Karl was born on August 31, 1948, in Olean, and was the son of Karl V. and Eleanor Ratzel Dutton. He married his loving wife, Judith A. Crawford, who survives.

Karl was a 1967 graduate of Hinsdale Central School. He worked as a machinist his whole life for a few local businesses including the Tile Plant, Dresser Clark, Hysol, and the Lillibridge Tool & Die in Portville where he retired from once they closed after working over 20 years of service. Karl enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and riding his four-wheeler. He adored his pet dogs and cats and was an avid gun collector.

Beside his wife Judie, Karl is survived by his three daughters, Tammy L. (Jason Taylor) Dutton of Cuba, and Kristine M. (Frank) Kastler of Olean,  Valerie Villi of Boston, PA., four grandchildren, Shandi M. (Kyle) Butts, Tangerine G. (Trevor Carr) Thompson, Filip R. Kastler and Kaleb M. Kastler, all of Olean, ten great grandchildren, Gaebriel, Hunter, Anthony, Hudson, Austyn, Apollo, Augustus, Atticus, Eliana, and Lysandre, a sister, Susan M. Dutton of Hinsdale, two nieces, a nephews, and several cousins.

Karl was predeceased by his parents, a grandson, Jesse Smith on March 12, 2019, and two sisters, Sharon A. Wing on June 26, 2006, and Barbara J. Wing on April 6, 2015.

Friends will be received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at which time a funeral service will be held. The Rev. Chuck Maine, Pastor of Epic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com
