OLEAN, NY — The Hangry Pitches’ offense was red-hot as they collected two wins over both Allen’s Wine and Liquor and Misfits.
Against Allen’s, with the scores level at 7-7 after four innings, Hangry Pitches strung together a seven-run inning that secured the 14-11 victory.
Liz Rix led the way in the win, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate — a performance complete with a triple and a home run. Behind her, Tayler Skelly went 3-for-4 with a double, Kayla Berlin, Tasha Morrison (triple), Dani Stanko, Christy Lineman and Danielle Arnett went 2-for-4 and Meghan Hollenbeck went 2-for-5.
For Allen’s, Jamilynn Giberson and McKenna Manning each went 3-for-4. Casey Cummings went 3-for-5 with a double, Bella Morales(double) and Eva West went 2-for-4 and Gina Chaffee went 2-for-5.
Hangry Pitches’ game against Misfits was more one-sided, with an eight-run third inning highlighting the 18-3 win.
Stanko led the way in that game, going 4-for-4 with a triple. Chipping in, Miranda Ruffner (HR), Morrison (HR), Lineman, Arnett and Hollenbeck all went 3-for-4, Berlin went 2-for-4 and Rix hit her second home run of the day.
For Misfits, Kenzie Crouse went 3-for-3 and Lezly McComber went 2-for-3 with a double.
KSW Photography 7, Pink Ladies 6
OLEAN, NY — Seven runs over the final four innings saw KSW Photography complete the comeback over Pink Ladies.
Candy Miller, Kasey Wilder and Lily Bushnell all went 2-for-3 in the win. Mandy Martin and Kristin Sledge-Whitcomb added an RBI apiece.
For Pink Ladies, Elyse Graham led the way with a triple and two RBI. Rachel Vossler and Nelly Freeman each went 3-for-4 in the loss as well.
Angee’s 13, McKan Trucking 9
OLEAN, NY — Despite falling behind by six runs after the first inning, 10 unanswered runs from Angee’s saw them complete the comeback.
JoJo Gibbons led the way in the win, going 4-for-5 with four RBI and a double. Also in the win, Sophia Aiello went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a home run, Emma Edwards and Betty McNabb went 3-for-5, Hannah Chudy went 2-for-2 with a double and Sophia Fratercangelo added a two-RBI triple.
Courtney MacNeal and Molly Kate (2 RBI) each went 3-for-4 in the loss. Mallory Welty went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Teegan Kosinski went 2-for-5 as well.
Halfway Inn 16, Misfits 2 (4 innings)
OLEAN, NY — Scoring 14 unanswered runs to start the game, Halfway Inn cruised to victory over Misfits.
Aliyah Cole led the way in the win with three hits, three runs, three RBI and a home run. Faith Capito also had a great day on offense with two home runs, two runs and three RBI.
Grace Wood, Harley Ficek and Brooke DeYoe each contributed three hits and Emily Horth and Kiley Anastasia added two hits apiece.
Morgan Maybe had a triple, run and an RBI in the loss.
Pink Ladies 8, Ice Cold Pitches 3
OLEAN, NY — A five-run first inning gave Pink Ladies all the separation they needed in their win over Ice Cold Pitches.
Rachel Vossler shined in the win, going 3-for-4 with a triple and a home run. Alongside her, Sara Wesley went 3-for-3 and Taylor George (RBI), Nelly Freeman (2 RBI) and Kindle Gruber all went 2-for-3.
Erin Bell went 3-for-3 for Ice Cold Pitches.
Bamboo Strategy 16, Shamrocks 0
OLEAN, NY — Bamboo Strategy cruised to a shutout victory over Shamrocks.
Sheri Ensell (double), Shannon Detweiler and Kimmy Martinelli all had perfect days at the plate, going 3-for-3. Cas Mills (double), Grace Rostzye and Alyssa Johnson chipped in 2-for-3 performances as well.
Liz Ball went 2-for-2 in the loss.
