FREDONIA, NY – The Allegany-Limestone softball team avenged its Section 6 Class B Semifinal loss to Fredonia from last season, topping the Hillbillies 8-0.
A-L starting pitcher Kailey Truman put on a masterful display, striking out 12 batters while holding Fredonia to one hit on the day.
Kendall Lemon led the Gators’ offense, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Peyton Truman (2-for-4, run RBI) and Summer Rhow (2-for-4, 2 runs, RBI) each had multi-hit days as well.

FREDONIA, NY – While the Portville softball team matched pace with Ellicottville for a majority of its first game of the season, three late runs from the latter made all the difference.
The Eagles broke open the scoring with a run in the first, which was ultimately matched by a run from the Panthers in the bottom of the second. The scores remained level until the fifth and sixth innings when the visitors tacked on one and then two runs, respectively.
Portville was held to two hits on the day with Madison Ford and Kylie Maedl picking up one apiece.
Ella Warters struck out eight batters for Portville.

Ari Finch (3-for-5, 4 runs, RBI), Allison Anastasia (3-for-3, 4 runs, 4 RBI) and Anna Bates (3-for-4, 3 runs, 4 RBI) each had multi-hit days for the Huskies.

SALAMANCA, NY – The Salamanca softball team fell to Eden by a lopsided margin.
Charli Ross led the Warriors, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Hadleigh Krug went 2-for-3 and Delaney Haley had a triple for Salamanca as well.

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – While Salamanca may have fallen on the road to Williamsville South by a significant margin, during the game Liana Jimerson recorded her 200th career save.
Jimerson finished the game with 10 saves on 26 shots.
Brielle Massagli recorded her first career varsity goal and Leilene McComber recorded a goal and an assist for Salamanca on the night.

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA – Cameron County girls track and field took victory at Oswayo Valley, defeating both the hosts and Port Allegany by wide margins.
On the boys’ side, Port Allegany edged out narrow victories over Cameron County and Oswayo Valley to take the meet.

OLEAN, NY – Allegany-Limestone’s Collin Kahm tallied the low round (43) in his team’s match against Olean, but a 48 and a 49 carded by Adrian Bohdanowycz and Finn Caya, respectively, gave the Huskies a narrow victory.
Brendan Ball and Ryan Callen both shot 50, tying for the second lowest-round for A-L. Cam Bartman rounded out the three best scores for Olean with a 52.
