ST. BONAVENTURE — The 2026 WNIT bracket has officially been announced and the St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team is set to host its first round matchup against Drexel.
The Bonnies (16-15) will take on the Dragons (21-10) on March 19 at 6 p.m. in the Reilly Center.
The winner of that game will then move on to face Middle Tennessee State (16-15).
Drexel catapulted itself into a third-place regular season finish in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) after winning 12 of its final 14 games of the regular season. In the standings they finished only behind regular season and conference tournament champion Charleston and Campbell, respectively. The Dragons fell 53-49 to Hofstra in the semifinals of the CAA tournament on March 14.
Leading the Dragons is Amaris Baker, who averages 19.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Baker had the second-best points per game average in all of the CAA this season. Laine McGurk is the only other player that averages double-figure points per game at 12.6 to go along with 3.9 boards per game.
Deja Evans, who stands at 6-2, falls just short of the double-figure mark, averaging 9.9 points per game, while reeling in a team-high 6.4 rebounds per game.
