George Tadder, wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa

Eldred- George Tadder of Eldred, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at home.

Born in Coudersport, PA, on September 19, 1958, the son of the late Clifford and Lucinda Burdick Tadder. On August 20, 1958, he married the former Betty Gummo, who survives.

George attended Northern Potter Junior Senior High School. He went on to work for the Daily Bread Cafe in Port Allegany. George was a member of the Old Man Coffee Club. He enjoyed a good game of pool and was the biggest bullshitter you ever met.

George is survived by his wife, Betty (Dolly); his sons, Wayne (Angela) Tadder and Trevor (Morgan) Tadder; five wonderful grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three sisters and four brothers.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Lucinda, and one brother.

There will be a Celebration of Life for George at a later date and time to be announced.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean.
