Cattaraugus County Department of Motor Vehicles offices will be closed for large-scale upgrades Friday through Tuesday, County Darrell Klute announced.
This affects all state DMV offices, including Cattaraugus County’s DMV offices in Olean, Little Valley and Delevan.
All in-person offices, telephone support and online services will be unavailable Friday, Feb. 13 through Tuesday. Monday is a federal holiday.
Customers will be unable to renew licenses, register motor vehicles, process Real ID applications, schedule appointments or comply with DMV transactions during this time.
There has been some misinformation floating around regarding the temporary DMV closures, Klute said.
The DMV offices may remain closed on Wednesday if the system upgrades do not go as expected, Klute said on his Facebook page, Darrell Klute, Cattaraugus County Clerk.
