ULYSSES, PA – Traveling into enemy territory in search of redemption, the Otto-Eldred girl’s basketball team avenged the only blemish on their North Tier League record, beating Northern Potter 59-41.
Early in their campaign, the Lady Terrors’ suffered an early stumble, losing to NoPo for the first time in seven years in front of their home crowd. While they have been near flawless in the month since, that one league loss remains a stain on the season. Ahead of their rematch, O-E was eager to earn some revenge.
Although they only amassed a four-point lead after the first quarter, the Lady Terrors burst into action in the second, outscoring the Lady Panthers 17-6 before the half. From there, they doubled down with an 18-point third quarter before cruising to their eleventh straight victory.
Baylee Francis led all scorers on the night, coming away with 16 points alongside four assists and two steals while Rayel Hakes scored 14 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Jahden Smith ended with 13 points and nine steals followed by Ayla Van Scoter with 12 points and three assists.

OLEAN, NY – The Olean girls basketball team put an end to its four-game losing streak with a resilient performance against Dunkirk.
The Huskies, who had taken a lead into the halftime interval, nearly found themselves putting another tally in the loss column after struggling in yet another third quarter. Olean head coach Chelsea Bowker has noted that third quarters have consistently been the bane of her team this season and against the Marauders, they lost the frame 14-5 and faced a five-point deficit going into the fourth.
