ELLICOTTVILLE — Two members of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office K9 corps and their handlers recently visited the Ellicottville BOCES Center where they were introduced to criminal justice students.
K9 Nitro and K9 DJ, along with their handlers, Deputies Pence and Worner, were invited to speak with the Ellicottville BOCES Junior and Senior Criminal Justice students.
The deputies spoke about the multiple different law enforcement career paths available for the students along with discussing the K9 program and its value as a law enforcement tool.
K9 Nitro was able to show off his skills in detection work. Deputy Pence and Deputy Worner thanked the Ellicottville BOCES for the invitation and allowing them the opportunity to share with the students.
