Olean- Kristin R. Bird “Loving Mother, Daughter, Sister & Friend”

Kristin R. Bird passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at her home.

Kristin was born on March 20, 1981 in Olean and was the daughter of Richard G. Bird and Michelle K. Peck Steinbroner.

Kristin graduated from Trocaire College with a degree in Massage Therapy. She loved to help people find peace, both physically and emotionally.

Kristin was a kind and free spirit, who unapologetically believed in being herself. She loved her family and friends, but more than anything in the world she loved her son, Aiden Jay Harrington. Kristin raised Aiden to be himself and proudly passed on her many gifts to him. Kristin had a very creative nature and loved to dance, sing, and draw. She had a contagious laugh and a beautiful smile that will be impossible to forget.

Kristin is survived by her son, Aiden Harrington; her parents Michelle (William) Steinbroner and Richard (Susan Johnson) Bird; her sister, Jessica (Joshua) Ohlson; her brothers, Alex Steinbroner, Noah Steinbroner, and John Bird, her niece River Ohlson, nephew, Michael Bird, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life for friends and family on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at their family home following Kristin’s wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be made at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com

Rather than flowers, food, cards, or gifts, a GoFundMe has been created to help Aiden in honor of his mother. This will go directly towards Aiden’s education as he goes in his first year of college at Alfred State this fall.
