MONDAY ROUNDUP: Huskies pick up third straight in sweep of Trojans

OLEAN, NY – Picking up their third sweep in four games, the Olean volleyball team earned a third consecutive win in their home victory over Southwestern, winning 25-11, 25-22 and 25-9.

Viktoriia Lozynska led the Huskies in kills with 13 while Kaylin Kratts tallied 11 digs. Ava Moses had eight kills, followed by Alyx Henzel, who contributed in all aspects with five kills, six digs and four aces.

At 11-4 overall, Olean will finish their season with two more matches. First, they will travel to see the undefeated Portville Panthers on Wednesday before closing out their schedule on Thursday with a home game against Allegany-Limestone. Both matches are slated for 6:30 p.m. starts. 

Portville 3, Falconer 0

PORTVILLE, NY — In its penultimate CCAA game of the season, the league-leading, and still undefeated Portville girls volleyball team scored a big sweep over third-place Falconer.

The Panthers did not give up more than 18 points in any set, winning by scores of 25-14, 25-13 and 25-18. Leading the team was Ali Haynes, who finished with 20 kills, five digs and five blocks.

Alongside her, Addie Walker had 27 assists, five aces and two digs, Mia Rhinehart had 17 digs and three assists and Marissa Carls had eight kills and three digs.
